Not much of a story, the week b/4 my diagnosis, and one heck of a sinus infection, had been to doc 2 times, on antibiotic, and prescrption decongestant.....Saturday the 3rd of May, the last thing I remember is calling my husband on his cell phone to get me to th eER, I had told him the pressure in my head was too much.....He took me to ER, they did a cat scan, and life flighted me to a bigger city.....the 4th of may I had a31/2 hour surgery, to remove a tumor the size of a racquet ball......The look on my neurosurgeons face was priceless, Sunday night....he had told my husband, I would either be , blind, paralyzed, in a coma or dead after the surgery.........and here I was sitting up in bed giving people a hard time.....lol...........More later, gonna take a nap.............BBL my daughter took me shopping this am and I am pooped!

I really don't know what else I can tell you.....it seems pretty cut & dried.......doing oral chemo, and have 14 radiation treatments left.....Another MRI is scheduled for July 23, and we ell see what happens. .....I have 2 daughters, 28 & 23, and a son 18, and a step daughter 24. My husband told them from the diagnosis, only positive thoughts......and if your mom wants it you get it for her.......lol....I like it......lol..... I have very good kids, and I know this is soooo hard for them
Steppy is here...gotta go...and see what she wants.....lol

Hi Christy
Sorry to read about your GBMIV. I believe your positive attitude will go along way toward your recovery. Your family seem to be very supportive & loving (especially with your Husband whipping them into shape, LOL!)
Your story so far is a "breath of fresh air" to us here on the forum. I will be looking forward to reading more about you.
Thinking of you.
Cheers, Angie. _________________ Brother has GBMIV

I am on week 6 of radiation, had an mRI last week, and it showed a few lesions....that they are targeting now with radiation. Radation Onc....said its too early to tell if the cancer is back, could just be iritation from the radiation.
I am tolerating the chemo well, my appetite isn't as good, but do eat 3 meals a day, and I have been eating alot of canned fruit in between meals. I have lost 8 lbs. so far. The Onc says I am doing very well over all.
not much else to say......I have been al lil more emotional the past month..... I usually cry, get it over with, and move on to the next thought....lol.....can't think of another way to deal with it.
Type at you later,

Dear Christy
Thankyou for the update. I continue to keep you in my prayers & thoughts.
Overall it appears the treatments are going OK for you? In saying this I'm certain you have your CRAP days? For instance the emotional times you mentioned. Great that you can have your cry & then move on! I can't imagine how challenging this journey is for you?
God bless
