back when i had Hodgkins Disease when i was 12, i had to take the chemotherapy routine known as ABVD followed by some radiation.

I had Bleomycin, which is one of the chemotherapies used to treat Hodgkins Disease. from what I've learned from doctors and reading about it, its important that I should not be smoking cigarettes because this can increase chances of lung problems. now since I goto the doctor with my Dad, I couldn't ask the doctor if its okay for me to smoke marijuana. I do not smoke tobacco, at ALL. and i'm not a heavy marijuana smoker. i usually only smoke maybe once a month or so. in the summer, i might smoke everyday for about a month or so, then come to a complete abstinence for a few months when summer is over. i'm going to college soon and over there, the temptation will be greated.

can you give me some advice? I found a few studies where they administer bleomycin and smoke to animals

the next appointment I have is in 6months and I plan to go alone (i'm 18 ). I'll definitely ask my doctor. my logic behind smoking weed was. "they use it for chemotherapy patients, so theres no way it can be harmful to me" i'm not sure if this kind of logic holds true in my case.

shivboy89, I have mixed feelings about your use of marijuana. Certainly, ask your own medical team about it. One thing I do know: It is not generally used with cancer patients as your post implies. When it is used for medicinal purposes, it is strictly controlled and used for nausea and chronic pain. It is most often used by patients in late stages of cancer. It does not sound like you have a medical condition that calls for the use or marijuana. However, as to its danger to you at the low level you use it, I do not have an opinion just the advice that you should consult with your doctor before continuing.
