Hi, I was recently diagnosed with stage 2 estrogen positive breast cancer. The lump is 4 in size. They found a very small spot in the node that they removed. They set me up for chemo treatments of 4x's A/C drugs followed by 4x's T drugs. To shrink the size before removal. However, I have done one treatment and went through the total melt down for 8 days, (currently on day 9). My question is what can I expect if I decide to stop these chemo treatments and persue a more natural cure? I would like some information about this before I talk to my doctor or before I make a final decision. I would appreciate any information about this, but I would really like to hear from someone else who made this decision also.

Thanks for your help!

Sincerely,
Destta

Hi, Destta. I am sorry you have been having a bad time.

You need to talk to your medical team about how to cope with the effects of the chemo - they can do all sorts of things to help. If you can get through these 8 cycles, I would do so, just to shrink the tumour as much as possible. They could also discuss alternative chemos with you.

There is no proven "natural" cure - lots of anecdotal stories.

There is a group of women who have elected not to follow the chemo route who run a site that you might like to look at:

A poster on a UK breast cancer board, who has just been through pre-surgery chemo, has notified us that she took this http://www.lifemelusa.com/ and had no problems with her chemo. No recommendations, but have a look and think about it. I am seriously considering it for my next lot of chemo.
