I am so happy, my sister saw her oncologist today and t he good news is her lung tumour has shrunk. She leaves hospital today having gained 2kg. I am so happy that she has also been taken off the morphine box and given some other painkiller as morphine didn't agree with her, it is called Oxy something or other.
So it looks like she will make my wedding in 3 weeks after all and will continue chemotherapy treatment.
Such wonderful news. |

Sam,
That's great news! I hope the new pain meds do their job and your sister continues to improve so she can dance at your wedding!

samchaney, I am so happy that your sister is going home and that the tumor did shrink!
Oxy is short for Oxycodone or OxyContin. It is an opiate that is often used with cancer patience and people with chronic pain.
You must be overjoyed that she will be able to go to your wedding ... I know she is. _________________ Jim

Hi Sam!
Fantastic news --- weight gain is a wonderful sign that things are moving in the right direction. Have fun with your sis at the wedding.

Hi Sam - so good she has gained some weight and that the tumour is responding to treatment. The symptoms of the treatment are awful, but if it deals with the disease, in the end it is worth it.
Will keep all my fingers and toes crossed for your sister and your wedding! |
