Hello, I am a healthy 23y/o female with enlarged jugulodigastric nodes. The right node is around 2cm, and left around 1. The right node has been enlarged and hardened for over half a year. The left one for the past 2 months. I have had blood taken numerous times over the months, and I have no infections and normal lab values, except for a slightly low Hgb (10.9), even though I am on a multivitamin with extra iron.

My only complaint are random bursts of a warm burning feeling to the neck, (right side, near the node) if that makes any sense. Also changes in bowel habits over the year, which the first MD thought was due to a virus or infection. I've seen 3 different physicians who cannot figure out why my nodes are enlarged. The next step is a biopsy, but I'm wondering if this is something I should pursue further, or just drop it?

I do not want to become a hypochondriac, it just concerns me that my nodes are enlarged with no cause. Please share your thoughts! Confused

hi, and welcome to the Forum.

ALWAYS get it looked at- don't ever "drop it". If you do drop it, you'll only worry about it like you have the last 2 years anyway. So get it looked at properly and thoroughly. Yes, it may be something normal, or silly even, but wouldn't you rather know- for sure...? i know I would.

If you read through this Forum, you'll see many people say they wish, they had things looked at better or, that they looked into it when they first worried.

let us know how you go.

Hi,

Thank you for the advice. I know now that I will make that appointment for the biopsy, I think I just needed to hear that it was a good idea from another person. I know I will continue worrying about it if I dont do anything about it.

Thank you again and take care!

Hi civichybrid. I hope you have had that Biopsy by now. Don't leave it too long and forget about being a hypochondriac, your doctor certainly wont think that about you. Good luck
