lump question

Hello,
First I want to apologize if I come across as a worrier as there are a lot of people with serious issues here that I dont mean to disrepect.

I found a lump in my arm near where I know there are some nodes.(above the elbow) it feels like a marble and it does move when pressed.
Im wondering if anyone ever noticed this node swollen before- My doctor told me its most likley a cyst or a lipoma...but to watch it and we can remove it if it gets too big etc....I just happen to have a physical last week and my blood work was fine. I dont know if this would show anything....I do have lipomas on my chest and back but they sem softer-

Hi uncas. Do not feel like you need to apologize. You certainly have the right to worry. Having said that, it probably is "just" a limpoma but you should have a doctor take a look at it.

I have a lymph node swollen on the back of my head near my hairline. Two doctors said it was a lipoma or cyst. I knew it was a lymph node by simply the feel of it, and the shape and by looking at simple diagrams of the lymphatic system and that old lovely gut feeling we get, Hey... Whaddya know, Matched up perfectly. But they refused to listen, One doctor even thought it was part of the bone in my head . ENT Doctor confirmed it was a lymph node.

I'm not trying to say all doctors are idiots, But in my case its very unsettling that 4 doctors were wrong, This also brings into question what else they could be wrong about.

If it is a lymph node, Rest assure... They swell up for almost any reason. It's when they dont eventually disspear, or grow larger that you need to investigate further.
