Hello, all you dear people --- This is my first time on this forum. I feel we are all kindred spirits, connected in one way or another by a brain tumor. My sister, age 50, has GBM, diagnosed in June 2006. I have been touched by reading your stories and comments. It is my intention to assemble a book of short stories about the effects that a loved one's brain tumor has had on families and friends. Sarah, I was particularly touched by the story of your father's fingernails. I clipped my sister's hair for the same reason. I would like to use stories like these in my book. I will not use names, locations, or any other personal identifying information. My book is presently just in the "dream" stage as I know it will be a time-consuming endeavor, and right now all my extra time is devoted to my sister. But any of you who wish to share a story for possible future publication, please let me know. In the meantime, know that I hold you all close to my heart and pray that God will comfort you and give you the strength and abilities necessary to cope.
Love,
Pam

Pam, this site is not for solicitation of any kind so I will lock this topic. You are not given permission to use any stories you read on this forum.

If you would like to start a new topic about your sister's GBM, that would be OK. In fact, I would like to read about her since she qualifies as a "long term survivor of GBM." Most people usually die shortly after being diagnosed.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
