could my girlfreind have a brain tumor???

she is 18 years old. when she was a baby she said teh docs did a catscan of her brain and there was a *cloud* hovering over it or something of the sort.

she dont know what the doctors called it.

latly i have noticed she has been acting diffrent. when we get in a fight she now sometimes just ignores it or just forgets about it. she never use to do that. she also ignores little things like when im talking about certian things its as if she has a *i dont care* attitude towards it. she's not meaner or anything of the sort other then that.

she has headaches alot. but always had she said.

also i noticed she is forgetfull as in placed her phone under a book and didint remember where it was 2 hrs later,forgets to make doctor visits even tho i always remind her. and forgets alot of little things.

the one big thing is tho it seems she is not interested in sex anymore we havint done/talked about it for 3 months. everytimei bring it up she just say's she forgets when we plan on doing it or whatever. this is a BIG change i dont know if its got anything to do with a tumor but i just wanted to add that.

she is also sick alot with nasuea for the past 2 weeks. i know i was sick and throwing up 2 weeks ago on sunday but the next day i was completly fine but she has been having alittle nasuea here and there for 2 weeks tho she is also sick with a cold (or so it seems). she also feels crappy most of the time since i known her for 4 years. like her knees are always hurting or a headache and stuff like that.

i dont know how to convince her to see a doctor and ask for a ct scan or what to say to her. im very worried about her and i just dont know what to do.

Hi zappyisfun. I am very sorry about your girlfriend's change in behavior. Many teenagers do have a major personality change because they are trying to find out who they really are. It is called "differentiation." It can be hard for their loved ones. The sad news for you is that she might even be re-evaluating her relationship to you.

The headaches and forgetfulness do not worry me too much. Headaches are not a common symptom associated with brain cancer and forgetfulness is common to a lot of people... even people without any cause.

The nausea and the "cloud" in that childhood scan are worrisome because some people can have cancers with those symptoms. If I were her, I would go to a doctor. It probably is not cancer, but why take the chance that it is. I do not know if you are the right person to speak to her about this. Can you talk to her parents about your concerns? The will have to know anyhow since she is probably under their health insurance.

the cloud thing i was alittle off. she said today that her mom told her the doctors said that she is MISSING a cloud in some part of her brain or missing some sort of important thing. i didint know we had clouds in are brains?

about her parent yes she is under her moms insurance but i cant really talk to her mom she would think i'm crazy. and her mom NEVER takes her to a doctor even when she has bronchitus she just tells her to sleep it off and rest. so talking would not really do any good.

her aunt had a brain tumor in her 30's but she is fine they removed it she just has side effects from it.

she has been sick for 2 weeks with a stuffy nose and nasuea and her mom still forces her to go to work/school. and has not took her to a doctor yet. we are gonna go tomorrow to a doctor without her mom.
