lung cancer advanced stage

my friend is having lung cancer which is in advanced stage i want him to well and fine and live with his parents is there any cure for lung cancer.

praveena, I am sorry about your friend's lung cancer. Has it officially been diagnosed by means of a biopsy? What type and stage of lung cancer is it?

There is no "cure" for any kind of cancer... there is only treatments that can prolong a person's life. But the correct treatment really does depend on the type and stage of the cancer. If you can find that information, we can help you much more.

You and your friend are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry about your friend's diagnosis. Late stage lung cancer IIIb-IV is not curable, but it is treatable and your friend may have some very good time ahead of him. There are always new treatments being approved aside from the standard therapies.

Wait until you get more information on the type and places his cancer is before panicking. I know it is hard, but information is your best friend right now.
