My Dad has an Sarcoma covering his clavicle down to the tip of his lungs. He will be having surgery to remove most of the tumor on his shoulder.. They say they can not get a clear border so they are going to put catherters in for the radiation. He will be in the hospital for 10 days then start beam radiation on a daily bases with Chemo after.

My questions is I still cannot find any information on this type of cancer. And until they do the surgery it will not be staged or told exactly what kind.

Please keep my dad in your prayers and if you have any information. His surgery is scheduled for Sept 5th. He is going to have alot of surgerns on board so I am hoping for the best.

I am curious about the radiation and how sick he might become from it. Has any one had internal radiation and what are the symptoms like. Thanks

FTHINU, I am sorry that no one has replied to your question. I am also very sorry about your father's diagnosis. I believe the reason people have not responded is that no one here knows the answer. By now, you probably are a valuable resource to this group because you have seen what impact radiation has had on your father. I hope you will write about his experience and post it here. I also hope everything is going well with his radiation and chemotherapy. Keep us informed.
