..Please anybody can help us..My father was diagnosed last June 24, 2007 with CML through bone marrow biopsy and when we tried to another hospital for further confirmation and as we are waiting the result for almost 1 month, in September 7, 2007 their result is now Acute Leukemia also through bone marrow biopsy..However he was required to comeback to the hospital for check up by the doctor on this coming October 1. But before this he has the following symptoms as i notice based on what i have read in the internet, such as sweat at nights, join and muscle pain, vomiting, unexplained weight loss, loss appetite, brushing skin, frequent fever, and anemia which we already did a blood transfusion last june and july due to his hemoglobin is going down. While until now we do nothing other than taking some medicine gave him by the doctors like ivereet, boscofan, though we dont know if its his real medicine for his illness..
Guys..as his elder son i do not know how tough it is, I dont know how and why? But my problem now is on how to find some money that can be able to support for his possible chemotherapy if ever.
I hope somebody can help us..any suggestion will be highly appreciated!
if does my father disease is curable? what will be the stage of his cancer? how long it can be treated?
For this past few months all i do is to pray that miracle will happen to my father that simply disappear the disease from him.

Elder_son, I am very sorry about your father's cancer. My father also had ALL. He had great insurance so did not face the financial issues to you are facing. Plus, you are in the Philippines and I do not know what is available to you there. My father survived 2 years until a secondary infection just overwhelmed his already weak kidneys.
I will be thinking about and praying for you and your father. _________________ Jim

But i am still want to know more fact about this disease and for any alternative way of treatment which known not much expensive.
For now, my father are staying at our house, suffering his symptoms while waiting for the time return to the doctor, not even knowing of what awaits ahead for him, and for my beloved family.
