I don't even know where to put thid\s. All chemos and radiations have many different side effects. NO ONE gets al of them I hope. But if you get the nasea or tiredness or whatever is that what you get sometimes or always? Or can you get different side effects each time?

I don't know what kind of chemo you're getting, but for me, I had nausea and fatigue with each treatment. I think fatigue is a given, at least for the chemo's they use for breast cancer. They have new meds since I went through it for nausea that seems to work great from what I've heard and read from others.

Most of the chemos have these as side effects - there are also other side effects which are more specific. It depends on what the drug is based. The vinca alkaloid-based drugs tend to affect the nervous system, while the platinum-derived ones have problems relating to the renal system and ears. Most people do not suffer the extremes, but it is as well to check out your drugs in order to be aware of the dangers.

Hi Betty,

I had nausea and tiredness but not every time. Sometimes it was the morning after I took my treatment. Other times it was several days later. I do not know why it changed so often with me.

The vinca alkaloids the Vee mentioned did cause neuropathy to my toes. I still cannot feel my big toes very well.

A side note... vinca alkaloids come from the very common garden flower you may know as Periwinkle.
