I just found something in my breast, I wouldn't say its a lump (like a pea or anything) just something. The breast has been very itchy for the last couple of months maybe. Not right on the nipple but to the side of the nipple. Also, I noticed a bit of swelling in my armpit.

It is my intention to call my doctor first thing in the morning to investigate but I am just curious if these symptoms are typical for breast cancer.

By the way I'm Scared To Death!!!

Thanks for your help everyone

Not typical.

Itchiness of the kind you mention can be a symptom of Paget's disease, which is related to cancer. It is very rare, and can be confused with eczema. It's not really possible to say on the internet - but as you will be seeing your doctor, let us know how you get on.

I agree with Vee. Could be a symptom of Pagets. You were very smart to get an appointment with your doc. Things like this should never be put off for any length of time. Not saying it is cancer, as it also could be an infection. Just saying that it is best to get treatment/diagnosis earlier than later. Please let us know how everything turns out. Wishing you the very best.

Concur with what's been said. Good luck.

Thanks everyone. I saw the doctor yesterday and he is sending me for mammogram and possible ultrasound next Tuesday. I guess I'll have to keep waiting.
