Since my last post i have been rushed to a major hospital in Sydney, the Royal North Shore by helicopter that was on the 7th of Dec.06 with a plasmacytoma wich was in my spine. Surgeons operated by puting a cage and then they went in ten days later to put all the nuts and bolts in, but in between that happening my spleen decided to pack it in and i was bleeding to death so i had an emergency operation on the spleen. So not bad three operations in 3 weeks. It was touch and go there for a while ICU got to know me very well. When i got out of hospital i went every day to radiation for ten days. I was hoping that the myeloma had coagulated all in the one spot which was my spine but according to the levels that is not so. I look like frankenstien's daughter, but i am still walking. I had a big chat with the surgeon Dr Ruff and told him i did not want to be a burden to my family and he said that he has seen a lot of people live with multple myeloma for sometimes 20yrs. I dont know wether i will live that long but i will keep you posted.
