I just wanted to let you know that I'm taking a break and I'm going to try to get away before May 1 when I go to Talladega for the race. As you know, one of my best friends died last month. I got word last night that another very dear friend of mine passed away yesterday. She didn't die of breast cancer and was a 8 year BC survivor. She was such a warm, caring, compassionate lady. I'm not sure if I'll go to the funeral. It's 2 hours away, but I don't know if I can handle it right now. I know she would understand and her family does. I guess I just need some down time and try to deal with these 2 huge loses in my life.
Everyone take care and know I'll be thinking of you.
I'll check my e-mail from time to time, but I just won't be doing much more then that on the computer. I've got too much time to think and that's not good right now.
I want to read lots of good news when I come back
Hugs to you all

Nancy,
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I know it's difficult to deal with all this in such a short timespan. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I know that you will be able to deal with it in your own time and your own way. Just know that you have friends thinking of you and praying for you. Just remember your friends and how lucky you were to have known them. They were lucky to have you too.
Good luck to you my friend. I hope you find the peace that you are searching for. I'm here if you ever need me. _________________ Shelly

Dear Nancy,
I'm SO sorry you have lost another friend. I know how hard Kim's death was on you.
We will miss you...BUT....keep checking your emails....you will not get away from me that easily! LOL
I'll check in on you soon. In the meantime, take good care of yourself. And good wishes and thoughts for your upcoming follow-up with your oncologist.
Hugs,
Margie |

I too will miss you, Nancy, but understand your need to withdraw for a while. Sorry about your friend. I know only too well how difficult it is to lose those we have come to care about so much. You spend this time taking care of you, and come back when you are feeling refreshed. Please stay in touch when you can and when you feel up to it. Hugs, Lauri _________________ Diagnosed 4/11/1996
