I am new to the boards- and I have been researching "lumps in neck" for a week now- because about 5 weeks ago I noticed a hard round lump right below my right ear at the angle of my jaw- it does not move. The doctor felt it and said I needed a ct scan- so I had one yesterday and won't get results until next week. I was wondering if anyone else has had a hard lump in the same place? I can feel my lymph nodes below this hard lump- so I am not even sure if its a lymph node...I have been sick for 2 weeks with cough and nasal drip...doc only said to take benedryl. Also the lump is not painful at all. I just don't know how long it has been there...I have had night sweats this past week- and I noticed it and thought it was weird...because its Winter! I had itching on my legs and scalp about 3 weeks ago but it went away- is it possible for itching to come and go? Or not even come? I know I will know results next week but just want some info on anyone that has the same thing....thanks

Hi I dont know if I can help at all, but I do remember my boyfriends brother havin a lump just like yours. I dont remember exactly what is was but I do know he just had it removed and it was nothin to serious. If it is somethin more serious like hodgkins it can be treated. It could be somethin totally different, I'm not sure, but try not to worry to much and I wish u the best of luck with your results, do keep me posted.

hi,
there are so many possibilities....those are common symptoms for a lot of things. the best thing is to not worry and keep a positive attitude. i hated waiting for results...especially the week long ones, but keep your head up. those are very common symptoms, but even if it is something serious just know that God is there for you and if you ever need anything or any questions let me know....i just went through cancer. just make sure you keep that positive attitude.
