i just lost my furry baby. she was my beloved therapy pet. i didn't feed her junk food. she only got the best sepcialty foods void of toxic matter. but, god still gave her cancer. Sakura was my best friend, my only family i had left and my child. i loved her more than if she were my child. i say all this to let people know HOW important pets are.
my question is this. is lymphoma painful most days? or if you have your meds, as she did daily, is the pain under control? i can't rest. my heart is broken and can not be at ease. i'm in such agony over the loss of my little one. she understood me since i am disabled. she was the ONLY one on earth who really accepted me and my chronic back pain from an old injury.
please let me know she was not suffering. i know she's in heaven and i'll see her again.

Hey there. For most people, lymphoma isn't painful. I can't speak for everyone, but most aren't in pain.
Second, without stepping on any toes, God didn't give your pet or any of us cancer. He suffers right along with us. Just my two cents worth. |

I am sorry about your pet. I understand that you are very upset about it, and everyone on this forum is very compassionate. But like Debbiefix said, God doesnt give anyone cancer. Even if you feel that way, try to be sensitive to the people on here who have been diagnosed.

My cat also developed cancer, that is life - these things happen. But i allowed the veterinarian to carry out treatment beyond the point of comfort, so her last days were not pain free, and that leaves a burden of guilt. It is particularly hard if your cat was your close companion.
Mourn her well, but do also in your situation be prepared to give another small furry person a space of their own. It won't be the same, but it will give you a new comfort. |
