hello, i have posted on this site before but have never gotten a respone. Anyways i have been reading about symptoms for larnynx cancer and think that i might have it. I have had a presistant sore throat that does not seem to go away. it hurts even more when i smoke, but it doesnt bother me when i first wake up. It seems to only bug me during the day. I constantly keep on spitting up spit and i filled a cup of spit what got my attention was there was sooo many white things floating in the bottom. Ive noticed a phlem like material ALWAYS comming up when i bring spit up and My throat has this nasty unexplainable feel to it which words cannot describe. Yes im 17 and have smokes for a year, do you think smoking is causin me the problems? I know the best advice to give is to quit but ive tried its hard. Im gunna try to make an appointment with a throat specialist but i really dont know what to say and i DO NOT want my parents to know i smoke as they will look at me differentlyt Sad

Hello

For symptoms like this you should be checked. Your persistent sore throat is probably due to smoking, but you need to have it examined to make sure.

i went to the doctors and he said he saw nothing.. Confused he didnt really know what it was but i got a throat swab done and i got blood tested for mono. i just hope it isn't cancer Sad
