I was told about these radiation seeds that could be implanted to help my prostate cancer. I'd like to know if it hurts, and if anyone has had any experience with this treatment.

I had seed implants in July 2004. Never had any pain or discomfort at all, none. Was back out taking my dog to the park the next day.

Doug-
My father will soon be taking part in the seed radiation therapy. What advice can you give him on what to expect? I have read the side effects lists, and wondered if there is anything else you may have experienced in the entire process that you were not aware might happen?
Thanks.

As part of the answer to the question on what to expect, how can we find peer reviewed studies comparing Radical Prostatectomy and Brachytherapy? That should also speak to comparative results.
