MY Husband was recently dianosed with Stage 3 stomach and Esophagael cancer. He started chemo and radiation 2 weeks ago. He has not been able to eat or drink. For the first week of chemo they gave him fluids each day at the cancer treatment center. Last Monday there were going to be a feeding tube in, but the Mayo doctors where the surgery will be done did not want it in the lower intestine, and the GI doctor would not put it in his stomach. when they did the scope the doctor removed about 2 cups of stomach bile. this is what my husband keeps coughing up. they feed him with a TPN through his port and got his radiation and chemo done at the hospital. He was able to eat in the hospital, while not enough to sustain him, with the TPN and what he eat he felt good enough to come home. Now he is coughing up so much "junk", that he can not down liguids at home and Saturday I was only able to feed him at most 700 calories and today at 9:00am only about 200. Any ideas at all??

thank you so much!

Cathy
