I have a friend that claims to have stage IV stomach cancer. I have some serious doubts about the truth of her illness. This is awful of me but I can't stop that question from the back of my mind.

She claims to have stage IV as I mentioned and has a picc line in her chest. She will not allow anyopne to accompany her to treatments. She has not lost weight or her hair but I know that is possible. She eats normally and drinks alcoholic beverages. She claims that she get diarreha from eating and drinking. She looks better than I have ever seen her look since I have known her. She will not tell anyone how her doctor is or where she goes for her treatments. Please let me know what you know about stage IV and if I am being silly.

worriedfriend, I really do not know what to tell you. She does have the right to tell you as much or as little as she sees fit. It is very hard to tell whether or not she is faking it. However, someone had to place the pic line in her chest and that someone had to have a good reason. Try to show her that you are there for her... regardless of what is going on.
