Hi i am very new to this Hodgkins disease subject as only diagnosed on friday, but can someone tell me what all the stages mean as i read on one post someone says they have stage 2 hodgkins disease, what does that mean?

Hi,

I don't think that the stage category is always a clearly defined conditions. I know that after 3 years of being diagnosed with lymphoma (NHD) my doctor says he can't really place me in any specific category. I do know that somewhere on the web (and propably within this web sponsor, there is probably a definition that states if your cancerous nodes have been confined to one side of your body and if they have infiltraded both sides of the body it's that, and so forth ..... but that's not something that I particularly worry about. If you do, ask your doctor or explore more web pages. And I'm sure some of the other contributors of this forum will join in with what they've learned.
