This year, Carol Stecker and I will be participating in a very special event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day.

We will walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

I do not have breast cancer, however I have found several lumps that turned out to be only cysts. However, while sitting in that room waiting for the Dr. to come in it hit me. How many mothers, sisters, freinds or even strangers have waited in that room for test results. The only difference is the Dr came in and told them they had cancer. If the training, fund raising, and walking will bring hope to even one of those women that it will have been worth it all.
