What kind of test do I need to do? What is the process for checking for lung cancer? Any help is appreciated greatly. Thanks

A common scenario is to do a CAT scan.

If suspicious spots are detected, an needle biopsy is performed in which a sample of tissue is taken from the spot.

Neither of these procedures are normally performed without a good suspicion that a tumor might exist as they are not without risk.
