My fiance got diagnosed with cancer. I am trying to stay positive, but it's very hard. I need to read something that lifts the spirit to realise my abiltiy to beat this. If anybody knows any spiritual literature please let me know. Thanks

Here's a few resources that I've found comforting and worth the read:

Peace, Love & Healing by Dr. Bernie Siegel
The Human Side of Cancer by Dr. Jimmie Holland (this one helps more with understanding your role in the various processes of cancer diagnosis and treatment)
Most Chicken Soup for the Soul books are also inspiring

In general, I believe connecting with other people is more useful than reading books. This is because real connection helps you realize that you're not alone in this whole thing. I've found journaling is also REALLY powerful at getting to core emotions if you do it at least several times a week.
