update on mom shes still on theTPN drip, but the next round they took out the magnesium and sdium chloride- the more she can take in on food the less nutient back up needed-(we are so hoping this isnt a permanant thing. But I do see where it can take a fairly long time.
her appetite is doing really go ad her output is alot more under contrl and the nausea has subsided to just every so often-but no more vomiting.
shes doing more laps around my home and has taken full control of her medcations
she is currently on warfarin, atenalol, immmodium, lomoti, questrian, clortrimeton and compazine .
she till is up to going to her home with the boys and my sister in law
just for sunday (she has yet to be in her own home since te 4th of oct.they are bringing and making dinner.-she wants to organize her paperwork and repack her clothes for here-she needs some warmer tops.
me and my husband are stayin home for some time together,to rlax and to rtotille the garden forfll cleanup. not muc time for that its getting cold.
soo if she feels well enough-thats her plans long as she gets back to be hooked up to the TPN at night. ...things seem to still be looking positive. |

moms still at my kome-she has a followup appointment tomorrow with her surgeon(hope its a good report) were a bit worried by her drainage tube scar shes getting pains and her blood count was low like the procrit was 7 too, not good so they took her off the higher dose of coumadin for now and more bloodwork tomorrow morning. Her nutient drip is still set up every night-they dropped of magnesium and sodium chloride-but added more water and another sodium product-the mg of other nutrients in the bag has lowered so thats good.bended knees for me tomorrow? Ill have all joints bent in prayer- anyway I will say its a bit stressfull here but we are getting by and surviving!
Ill update with the doctrs report-thanks for being there all of you.hugs and good thoughts.- dont know what Id do if I couldnt get this all out somewhere.big (no lets make that a huge) emotional relief! |

moms appt went as good as it could-shes healing well and the pain is scar tissue and shehas plenty of that!!
shes relieved her protime is back to 3 and shes eating better but has to have the tpn drip unless her body starts absorbing on its own(if it will)
its a very slow process and if she does get strong enough-she then has to decide if she wants to try chemo again-this will be the 5th full chemo rounds and so far 32 radiation rounds-dont really think her body can take much more abuse. (one really never lnows) she was majorly depressed and scared for awhile, but I think todays doctor visit gave her a smidge of hope-just enough to get her in battle mode again. She also hs a clogged picc line and that makes her blood draws difficult -she has timy rolling veins-usually takes 4-5 attempt to get blood.-we are waiting on a med that supposedly will clear the line-fingers crossed please. if she can hang in there-so can all of you! |

Great to hear things are going as well as they are, I hope they continue to improve and that all is well (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) and you have all my prayers and thoughts. The decision will be made when ya'll are ready to make it and will be the right one on the chemo, just look at all the factors involved. _________________ Total hysterectomy July 23 2008, mass in colon.

topazil-shes focusing a bit more on her decision to chemo or not to chemo every once in a while-we'll see when she gets strong enough...she is eating normal now. we can see how much she is absorbing by mondays blood work I sure hope she is able to wean off the drip, at least have it only once a week if she must- because right now she is still hooked up every night.
Shes hungry every 2 hours and if she doesnt eat she will get nauseated -(well pills dont set right in anyones empty stomach)but not real bad and she hasnt been throwing up(so theres a good sign)
with less intestines she has to empty the bag very often(she gets upset about that) but even that seems to be improving.!
she wants to go to her house again tomorrow to be with the boys and do her thing.she soo misses her home-on the up side-she rolled coins for me,wrote her bills .clipped coupons and I told her she can help me wrap some gifts next-shes getting bored)even the last two days she has been filling her water bottles and sometimes getting herself something to eat! herself!!! She said if she feels ok she even wats to put together the pumpkin pies-me and my sisterinlaw are doing thanksgiving-at our traditional place-moms house. Hope she feels well enough to eat this year
next update after bloodwork.. |

| amazing how much determination this wonderful lady has. the good lord blessed her as well as me with little girls that truely put their life on hold to care for them. just please take care of your self. i can't speak for any one but myself but i have my bags packed for my trip over jordan. whatever time i have left here i will continue to do battle with this disease. i hear what your mom has endured and sit in awe. makes me feel like a big ole cry baby. god bless your family and i wish you the best....bruce |

| thank you Bruce and we wish you the best-I think you went through alot yourself! dont knock it-There is no little problem when its yours-Everyone here has a big problem and how they work with it is what makes the difference and some people s small problems to others are extremely difficult to others and visa versa but just remember no matter how bad things seem -look around and you will always find someone in a worse situation. It will make you and your family stronger and more determined to fight harder. have a safe trip! |

| Its a very slow improvement but yes Im seeing one-shes able to eat more with less stomach upset less often-the more she can keep down and the more thats absorbed- the less TPN she will need and has a chance of weaning off of it.-unfortunately if they do build up her strength, they will want to discuss a chemo option-or something like it-dont know at this point if she will consider any more. we'll see. |
