I recently performed a self check on my testicles and noticed that there was a change a swelling in the tubing (vas deferens) on the left hand side.
Naturally worried I did a full body check, I found a collection of lumps on both side of the groin where the lymph nodes are, I believe. These lumps are hard and smooth varying in size from 0.5cm to 2. These lumps are attached to my body whereas I also found smaller lumps just below the abdomen that were not attached, floating would be one way to describe them. I also found lumps under my chin that were attached and a floating lump on my neck along with tiny attached lumps on my jaw bone and on my collar bone. At this point I was extremely worried and began investigating cancer symptoms (thus finding this website) and it occurred to me I also have started occasionally having stabbing pains in the rectum, abdomen and chest but these are so brief (second or two max) and they werent that strong that I figured they must be growing pains, by researching cancer symptoms I realise it could be more serious. I also have a tendancy to get sebacous cycsts on my testicles is this a symptom of cancer? im seriously worried im not entirely sure what to do. any advice/help would be greatly appreciated

Callum, there are a lot of things that can cause lymph nodes to enlarge. By far the most common reason is an infection... even if you do not feel sick otherwise. Nevertheless, it is better to be safe than sorry so you need to go see a doctor. Your doctor will probably first put you on an antibiotic to rule out an infection. Keep use informed.

Hi,
listen to me, go quickly to your doctor and get checked, than do a echography and show it to your urologist if your doctor advice you to do so.
As the other guy said, it could just be an infection, but i want to tell you my experience anyway, hoping to not scare you.
Im 22 and on june of this year i found a lump im the top right of my right testicle. doctor->echography->urologist and i discovered i had testicular cancer.
Like all does, i began to search infos on the internet also before the doctor visit, and i can tell you that testicular cancer can start from testicle and then go up in the groin lymph nodes then in stomach, livers, brain and so on... or it can start from the body and then go in the testicles.
I had this lump and by the time of 20 days it invaded hald of my right testicle, who seemed like a half open nut at the touch (half hard and irregular, half normal).
Just go get a visit with your doctor and don't worrym this is my experience, that doesn't means nothing, it was just to give u some comparison terms, but anyone is different. Don't worry, it won't be nothing, this cancer is seldom. |
