Ok, so I feel a bit silly posting here, but I don't know what else to do, I would really appreciate anyone's input, i've been ill since last august. Extreme pain is really my main symptom, pain in my collar bone area, a deep ache, mainly in my right side, pain in my upper back, and upper left side mainly - it hurts to breath deeply. Pain under my ear on my right side, pain at the front of my neck on the right - hurts to breathe there too.

There are NO swollen nodes there, but considering the locations I think the pain is from the lymph nodes, I am also very tired, so much so I've had to give up work, frequently dizzy - often I walk with a stick in case I get a dizzy spell and suffer from serious brain fog when I'm having a 'bad day.' The pain is worse when I am tired (much worse) so it gets worse throughout the day, I get bad night sweats and I also have dry skin (on one arm).

The doctor has pretty much refused to see me again Rolling Eyes he did some blood tests, then an ultrasound of my abdomen, nothing else. He refuses to do another thing, he basically said I'm making it up. (despite the fact that before last august i hadn't been to any doctor for 3 years!). I've tried to change doctors but it didn't much help considering what i guess he wrote on my records about me being some attention seeking crazy person. I even went to the hospital once, but they told me they coouldn't admit me because it was considered a 'chronic' problem. I'm in the UK, the NHS doesn't help you if they decide there is no reason to.

I literally have nowhere else to turn, I can't try a new doctor, I can't go to the hospital, I can't get a diagnosis which is all I want. Crying or Very sad the pain isn't going away, I keep wishing for some sort of visual symptom (like a lymph node) to make the doctor listen. Then I realise how crazy that sounds lol.

I wouldn't mind if they had done some diagnostic tests like a proper scan to actually determine there is nothing wrong before they tell me that.I haven't lost any weight (I'm kinda very overweight) I pretty much know that if it was cancer, then I'd have some other 'proper' signs by now right? But I know something is wrong, this just isn't right, does it sound like something to worry about, the pain might not be my lymph nodes at all? Or were the doctors right to think there is nothing seriously wrong. Question

Hi vk,

Of course, none of us are doctors here, but your description doesn't sound like any kind of lymphoma I've ever heard of. I'm perhaps the only person here who had lymphoma without any swollen lymph nodes (it was a lymphoma tumor in my colon that was found before spreading elsewhere) but there were other symptoms such as rectal bleeding that forced further examinations.

You didn't mention what type of doctor you went to see, perhaps a general practitioner? Do you have the option of seeing a chiropractor? It could be some muscle tension issues that are causing the pain. Acupuncture may offer some relief as well.

I can't say that there is nothing physically wrong with you, but if there are any unresolved issues that are causing you stress, particularly those that started on or around the time that you started having this pain and are still troubling you, it would be a good idea to tackle these head-on and try to find a solution. During one particularly trying time in my life, I would have panic attacks that would cause me to go dizzy and lose feeling in my lower extremities. Turned out that was completely mental; when my situation improved, my symptoms went away. If you have such a situation that can't be improved by any means you are aware of, then you will need to learn to manage it. The oldie but goodie book "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie has lots of great advice on how to take control back of one's life.

I'm sorry that I can't say anything more definitive, but do concentrate on the things that you _can_ do for yourself, and try not to worry about the things that are out of your control.

Good luck! I hope you find the peace and comfort you are looking for.
