Hi there,
I just joined the forum and have been reading many comments. I am currently 27 yrs. old with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have seen some progress after having ICE, but after having a Stem Cell Transplant, my cancer has now increased in areas in which they never shown before on my PET scans. Doctors say perhaps some live cancer cells were re-injected? I am going to Lombardi Cancer Center in Washington D.C. next week to see Dr. Cheson. During this time, I will be undergoing a clinical study at Karmanos Hospital. My options are clinical studies, or find a donor. I can't seem to find any posting on anyone who found their transplants to be unsucessful? I find a medication commonly used called Rituxan?, or even HDAC inhibitors? Don't know much about them, but about to investigate.

Hi linzeh

Sorry to hear of the bad news. I can't really help much as I don't know too much about Hodgkins. RE the stem cell transplants what you describe is very rare but not impossible. Try to keep your ability to smile, I know it is difficult but it does help. Keep fighting the good fight you have a good chance of beating this so don't give up.

Good luck with the visit to the clinic I really hope it goes well.
