I know I have also posted on another post.

Thankyou Chemoman for the link you gave me.

My father in law was diagnosed with mantel cell lymphoma yesterday, I am trying my hardest to find out as much information as I can on it, but there isnt a lot out there at all, some horror stories(but suppose thats expected really)

The thing is he had part of his large bowel removed 3 weeks ago due to a large mass and polyps, think we had sort have thought that they had removed most of it, and he'd just need chemo to get rid of the rest of the cells, this has come as a bit of a blow to us all.

He is 64 and is feeling great in himself really, happier than all of us at the moment.

I would like to hear from people who have had this and come through it, and what treatment was involved, we know he has to have a bone marrow test in a couple of weeks, what is that like.

I know we need to stay as positive as possible for him, but with not much information other than its not cureable it is quite hard.

Michelle12,

The bone marrow test is not that bad. Tell him to relax. I just joked with my doctor the entire time and it was over before I knew it.

Im sure you undestand how we are all feeling right now. It hard to try and get your head around really. Just hope it all works out. The doctor seemed positive which I suppse is a good thing, just wish we had more information really, started watching the webcast, its very long and alot to get your head around when you dont understand half of it.

Good luck. I am glad your Dad has that attitude about it; it sure makes life easier to bear. I can honestly say that I have lost less sleep over my condition than anyone else in my family.

You have to play the hand that life deals you.

God Bless!

There is a possible cure with the Nordic Treatment. Ask your father-in-law's doctor about the course of treatment. Also there are a number of recent studies with clinical trials on going which show a cancer vaccine that has success rate of about 70% for patients who have had chemo, been in remission and then relapsed. Good luck!

A research doctor friend has worked out a formula for a powerful anti oxidant juice that contains natural ingredients that have been shown to kill leukemia cells per a study done at the University of South Florida. He asked me to try it and so he could gauge my reaction. I have been using it for 6 weeks and low and behold, the lumps in my neck have decreased by 50% or more and my spleen enlargement has recided. I can't believe it myself, however my self examination is accurate since I am obsessed. If you want more information please contact me. mahpc@aol.com. I am not trying to sell you, but I am sold myself.

Can anyone help on how he is going to be.

He is having 6 courses of chemo, one every 3 weeks. They have said they are giving him a medium course?? not sure the difference myself
