Can anyone help please?
I have had swollen glands in my groin area for about 9 months. There are about 3 large glands each side. They do not hurt to touch but my legs hurt around that area when I cross my legs and walk. About 4 months ago the glands in my neck swelled up. Each side of my neck, about 3 each side, and under my jaw. I have 2 swollen glands, 1 each side at the back of my neck, about 3cm. I also have swollen glands above my elbows. I have seen my doctor who has done blood tests, all of which have come back ok, CBC, WBC, HIV, ESR etc etc. I also have a persistent red mark at the top of my chest around my neck which gets redder when i touch it or shower. I also have 2 bright red patches on my forehead which come and go. I occassionally have an itch all over for which I have had treatment for scabies, just to try anything but that hasn't helped.
Could this be lymphoma? Would blood tests show up anything?

Thank you for taking time to read this and for any advice.

Mark

Hello Mark

Most cases of swollen glands are not Lymphoma, so you will find that doctors adopt a rather cautious approach and they usually include a period of watching and waiting. You do need to see a doctor about your symptoms however as they are rather suspect. The fact you have had EBV and CMV has probably alarmed you and prompted you to post here. Try not to panic, I know that is hard to do, but really they are very good at treating Lymphomas these days. It can take months to get a diagnosis , so I would start seeing a Doctor as soon as possible.

Good luck Mark I hope its nothing serious. If not we are here to help.
