I have autoimmune diseases and many breathing problems. A little while ago, they ran more tests and told me that both lungs had many, small nodules on them. The doctor recommended that I go back for another test in a few months, but he seems to think that the nodules can be attributed to Mixed Connective Tissue Disease/Scleroderma. I guess my confusion lies in the fact that I am already in the early stages of C.O.P.D. and I have mild pulmonary hypertension, so how concerned should I be about these nodules? Could the autoimmune diseases be attacking my lungs or should I be concerned about the possibility of cancer? Question
