Hi, I'm new to forums so not sure if this is right or not but i'm just looking for some general feedback, no diagnosis or whatever.
In late Jan i went to the docs cos i had symptoms of: blood/mucus in stool( lots of it and very dark), weight loss (hips and ribs are protruding),some constipation, not sure if its a lot cos ive suffered with that constantly since i was a baby, left side of my stomach absolutely doubles me over in pain, left knee hurts a lot and so does my left elbow.
After being sent to hospital in Feb the doc told me its possibly Crohn's and scheduled me for a colonoscopy, which i'm finally having on Wednesday.
Since Feb right up until the present day ive been suffering with the constipation that lasts for about 3 weeks then miraculously disappears for about a week then comes back full force again. Also, in the last week or so ive discovered a lump in my abdomen, it doesnt feel very big but it is noticeable, its just above my navel and over to the left slightly, not sure what this could be.
I'm not saying it could be Cancer cos i'm only 22yrs old, i realise how unlikely it is but i must admit, with the symptoms i have and the lump appearing i am getting quite worried and the thought has crossed my mind that i could have cancer. I'm probably being very silly for thinking like this, my mind is probably going lol.
My diet is fine, i'm quite picky like that, everything has to be right so i dont know, maybe it could do with changing but ive always eaten the same as i always have since i was little and i only started feeling ill in Jan.
Well, Thank you for taking the time to read this, Sorry its long, guess i needed to get that off my chest..Fingers crossed the colonoscopy will turn up some results on Wednesday and i will finally know what im battling. Thanks Again |

HI, sorry i forgot to mention, in the last couple of days my dad has commented that the left side of my throat looks slightly swollen, ive felt for lumps but not sure if i can feel any, it has been hurting and feeling very heavy the past few days. Maybe im turning into a hypochondriac lol, not sure if this is a worry, i dont really know much about all this and i dont know any to turn to with these concerns, See what happens Wednesday.

I hope your colonoscopy goes well. While colon cancer is uncommon at your age, it can happen, but still the chances are low.
