Okay Bill -- Monday has passed, but Tuesday is the 10th, so I'm confused.
Do you have an update for us?
I hope you are continuing to do well with your recovery from surgery. You've got a great sense of humor and that will go a long way for you.
Do let us know how you are doing and many prayers for speedy healing and a good treatment plan.

Welcome back Bill. Trudy did keep us up to date while you were in the hospital. I imagine you are glad to get back home. Hopefully, you will get good news from your oncologist today. Let us know.

Well hello faithful friends! I met with the oncologist today and he gave me a very good prognosis! He said he thinks he can still kill this. Due to my age and location of primary tumor he said not 100% but very good chance he can cure it. I have to go 23rd or 24th to be admitted again for one day. Then I have radiation every day and chemo once a week for 6 weeks. He said I wont even lose my hair using the drugs he's giving me. So ladies I'm still gonna be a heartthrob dont give up yet! So anyways thats where we are now. I'll keep you posted. Thanks to all of you so much for giving a damn.

A big, hearty congratulations!! 
I think you're so happy that you didn't even mention how you're feeling, but I'm thinking that your recovery just got a shot in the arm with this news.
(I won't even mention the heartthrob comment to Trudy either. LOL)
Keep us posted once treatment begins. We're still here to give you tips and support. What chemo have they decided to serve you?

Well I met with the radioligist today and he has a very different opinion of my chance for success. He said that in reality I have a 20% chance of killing all of it. So that was a blow. I begin the chemo and radiation on the 24th of June.

Thanks everyone who has replied with help and concern. I finally got my staples out today. The area around the incision is still very sore to the light touch such as a shirt rubbing against it. Hopefully that will stop soon now. I've had the preliminary radiation scan and have the three X's mrked on me. The 23rd I have final scan for radiation and then they mark exact spot where they will shoot at. So nothing else to report until the 24th when I am admitted for one day to begin chemo/radiation. I will have my wife update the night of 24th.

Glad to hear things will be getting underway. I wonder why they are admitting you for rads/chemo. Will you be there overnight?
I'm sure the area is very sore to any light touch. It's the nerve endings that were cut and it takes a lot of time for them to mend. My husband only had VAT's for a biopsy and he never regained full feeling once the initial ouchy went away. I hope the pain isnt' too bad and is being controlled with meds. If it continues, you may want to go to a pain management clinic, which is just a glorified pill-pusher. LOL
You get your tatt's on the 23rd? Lucky you -- but they are just little dots.
Break a leg -- uh-oh, better not say that. Good luck sounds better in this case!

I am really getting concerned about the healing. My nipple is so sensitive. A sheet or shirt or anything rubbing it sends me through the roof. Has anyone had this experience?

Bill,
Yes -- my husband had areas that were extremely sensitive. It took longer than usual for him to heal those severed nerves. Please mention this to your doctor and get a referral for more pain meds. You might also want to try a good B complex, which may help with nerve damage.
