| Lol, wow you got to be nuts getting back into one of those after you just got told you had melanoma. If your light skinned, deal with it, if people make fun of you tel them , at least I aint cooking myself. Id give 100 bucks to have my light fair complected skin back again. Man youre just asking for it if you keep going back into one of those things. |

Danielle,
These tanning beds can certainly increase the chances of anyone developing skin cancer. For someone that has the diagnosis of melanoma it should be off the table. There are other alternatives like these spray-type of tanning salons. I really don't know much about that, but please do not use these tanning beds
regards,

| My fiance used the spray on tanning and it looked actually kind of real, it doesnt look like that rub on stuff that you can buy at lets say wal mart and doesnt streak or any of that stuff, much much safer than the beds. I agree with Leo. Youd have to be nuts though to jump back into one of those after you were told you had melanoma, why not jump into a microwave, think of it that way. you are cooking yourself more or less. that stuff is even worse for you than the sun itself id think, the rays or light is right on top of your body. i think i tanned in a boothonce or twice and it got me so hat i said heck with that, ill stay white thanks lol, if people wanna make fun of ya for being light complected tell em hey least i ain baking myself. |

| The salon you go to should make you fill out a health questionairre. It will ask about skin cancer/melanoma. If you are honest on that they won't even let you in the beds. Please don't. It's so not worth it. |

If you developed skin cancer at only 20, your chances of reoccurance are probably high enough even if you never go into a tanning bed again. So, for the sake of your health, stay out of the tanning salon and keep an eye on your skin!
But that aside, isn't tanning about trying to look good? Well, you can choose to be sexy and tan now, but you'll pay for it by being extra wrinkly later...
So for the sake of your appearance and your health, once again, stay out!! |
