| Numinits is in the lungs... when you feel little bit (or more) short of breath. Neurophaties are in feet and fingers. Please let your doc know about any problem with lungs right away! No joking with that! Mine did not tell me much yet about the effects, will talk to him tomorrow. |

I told him about it on Treament one and two, my Blood Pressure also rises to about 105.
They said it was anxiety, but I did not have any that I knew of.
I will tell him more when I see him on Friday and see what he says.
But everything I have read that the combo of 5FCU and Oxliplantin is a great combo to get rid of the micro cancers, they gave a great book 100 things to know about colon cancer and it talks in great detail about oxlipantin. _________________ 1/11/08 - Removal of Stage III Colon Cancer

| I just had an episode on the plane when my blood pressure went up to 150/76 and had a very fast hart rate for 10 minutes... in ER they were affraid of blood cloth, luckily it was not. So they called it anxiety but I do not agree with that. |

I agree,
I only get the High BP etc, the first two or three days of treament of when the temp drops.
The Doc always checks my throat for some reason, need to ask him what he is looking for, my thought is always kind sore, and hard to swallow on the first week of treatment. _________________ 1/11/08 - Removal of Stage III Colon Cancer

Alright dpotter - you have to quit whining about the chemo pump ball and chain for 2 days! Mine was on for 3 weeks - and now they've taken it off because of an infection - I wish I had it back because the protocol calls for me to have BOTH chemo and radiation for six weeks.
Now I am worried that my tumor won't shrink the way they hoped because My treatment is changing.
Anyway - you are right - keep telling yourself it is killing the Cancer cells!
hang in there

Hi DulcimerGal,
You are very right, we need to remember we are not doing this for fun, we are all trying to get better.
It is just very hard for me to start to feeling better, than go thru it all again.
But I know deep down, that it is for my own good, and it is to make me better.
My prayers and thoughts are with you, and us all. _________________ 1/11/08 - Removal of Stage III Colon Cancer

Hi again-
hey what is the name of the book you mention?
I am getting sprung from the hospital today and I need something to read when I get home!
Looks like I will be taking 5FU for 6 months too after my surgery so I want to read about the other combos of drugs, I have not asked yet if it will be with anything else.
Thanks!
I remember having painful abdominal pain, and being diagnosed with Irritable bowl syndrome by my GP.
Went to the Gastrologist, who said it was IBS, but he should do a colonoscopy anyways, I said was it was not cancer, he
said by no means was it cancer.
Boy was I shocked… At least we got it at stage III.
thats actually pretty similar to what happened to me....only I had Stage II. |
