Hi everyone,
My dad found out about 4 months ago that he has lung and bone cancer. He has a tumor in his lung and one where his spinal cord is. He went trhough radiation and that made him too weak to even get up on his own. He has had one round of chemo and will have another one on Monday. One of his many problems now has been that his feet are extremely swollen. Has this happen to anyone you know and what could it be? He spoke to the nurse last time he went to his appointment, but his doctor was on holiday and the nurse wasn't sure what to really tell him. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Ivo,

I'm sorry about your Dad's diagnosis. There are many reasons for swelling, but he should definitely be seen by the doctor. Push for an appointment and some answers.

There is an oncologist, with a lung cancer specialty, who answers questions online at onctalk.com. Do a search for the problem or ask the doctor a question.

Very best of luck to get some answers. This shouldn't be ignored -- it may be nothing, but it could be a warning sign of something.
