I'm self cathetering to empty my bladder, I'm almost 5 months after the seeding procedure, and 5 weeks of self cath. My Doctor is suggesting that I consider Laser Surgery to void on my own. I asked what the % would be for incontinence and he said ,after the seeds maybe 10%. He went ont to say worst case if I had to wear a pad and change it a few time per day it's got to be better then running the hose in 4 or 5 times a day with the infections that come with it.
Has anyone experieced this or know anything about it. I have had every side effect possible and I'm afraid that 10% will include me. So any info on the Surgery after seeds and incontinence would be helpful in making a decision, down the road, when things calm down. |

Hi goruck, Thanks for responding, first of all what do you mean by,operator dependent phnomena?
I'm located just north of Hartford, Ct and 10 minutes from Springfield Ma. Are you saying in your experience that you have done many Laser surgeries after seeds were inplanted? How long after the inplants would you say is safe to do it? Now I have some bladder scarring from years of retaining about 7 oz in my bladder for the last 15 to 20 years. When I did void I could only void about 2 to 3 oz then after waiting a few minutes I'd do another 2 oz. I don't know if this was because of my median lobe pressing on my bladder neck or the bladder wasn't contracting enough. I'm more convinced that it's the prostate pressing. I'll await to hear from you again. |
