I, and I'm sure many others, have had a very uncomfortable situation with a Dr. Martin Dayton at the Dayton Medical Center in Sunny Isles Beach, FL. His phone number is 305-931-8484, in case anyone is interested in his cancer treatment options. I was reccommended to him by a doctor that treated me in Mexico. I brought back several thousand dollars of chemo drugs back with me, and I was told Dr. Martin Dayton would administer them over a number of weeks. I had purchased 6 weeks worth of chemo drugs, and after my first visit to Dr. Dayton I was asked if I would like to keep the drugs there instead of hauling them back and forth from my home every week. I said yes.
On the 3rd treatment, the nurse said I did not have enough drugs for anymore treatments. I told them I gave them 6. They said they only had some of the drugs. I called and called and called Dr. Dayton, and he never returned my calls re: this situation. So, I sent him a certified letter asking for the money and explaining the situation (which his nurses told me he knew about). He never responded. Now, this week we are taking him to court (and it'll be a mess because he makes you sign a waiver when you go there saying you will never sue him for anything).
He's a dishonest scam artist. Stay away, and tell everyone you know. We need to stick together on these forums so none of us gets ripped off during such an awful time in our lives. (on a side note, because he withheld my meds, I ended up having to have 3 months more of HIGH dose chemo, and now I'm in 5 weeks of radiation). And, because of his incompetence and/or dishonesty, I am paying for it TWICE!

I'm sorry you are having this experience and wish you the best of luck with your new therapy regimen.
This post stands as a warning to everyone.
Those who choose to seek experimental, alternative, non-traditional avenues of treatment never know what hole you will step in and how far behind the eight-ball you will be after these unproven therapies fail or what unscrupulous doctors you may find.
Know your Doctors, research your Doctors, check their credentials. There are many outstanding large cancer facilities across the United States, like Memorial Sloan-Kettering, University of Chicago, Mayo Clinic, and M.D. Anderson to name a few.
A good place to start looking for a good Doctor is at the National Cancer Institute's website:

I so very badly wanted a doctor from what I call "integrative" cancer medicine to be able to help me and rid me of the disease. Instead, this is my SECOND time being ripped off by an "alternative" doctor, or one posing as a doctor. You have to be soo, soo very careful in your choices. |

Hello 2littledogs
I am shocked by the dreadful deceit you have had to cope with whilst enduring your terrible diagnosis & chemo!
There are some real "low lifes" in this world & although we are generally trustworthy humans there is always that exception to the rule, which pulls us back to face the reality of this crazy world we live in. This person (I won't refer to him as a Dr, I even detest referring to him as a person) is "scum of the earth" & I only hope he gets his Karma & soon. You know what they say "what goes around comes around".
I hope & pray your treatment will be the "answer to your prayers".
Thinking of you,
Angie. _________________ Brother has GBMIV

| Thank you. I really appreciate that. I thought long and hard about whether or not to share this info about these people. but then I realized I HAD to share it. It would be irresponsible for me not to. Let's stop these charletans (did I spell that right?) |
