I am new here and looking for a little help. I just had the hardest weekend I think I will ever have (I hope I will ever have). I had to go see my highschool best friend and say good bye. She is dying of what began as cervical cancer and is know pelvic cancer. She is 28. She and I have been best friends since we were 15. She was diagnosed with cancer the day I gave birth to my son so I have a huge connection bewteen the two. She is not admitting that she is dying but she cannot walk and she has a miriad of bags to help ber body drain. The week before I went in her chemo doc siad that is is terrified to give her more chemo because it will kill her faster...but she is going forward with it. She starts on Tuesday. After hearing that and seeing her...I don't think it will be long. I said good bye but certainly did not get to say all that I wanted to. How do you go on with that thought in your mind...while just waiting to get more news? Just looking for some sopport for others that may have gone through a similar situation.

Movo, this is so terrible! I am very sorry about your friend. She is lucky to have you as a friend because you sound like you care about her very much. You and your friend are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about you rfriends illness, I hate the word ilness... what is clear that you love your friend and that the New life of your child is connected with with your friends cancer. I hope you view it as one door closes another door opens. Love those while you can, don't wait. And know that even though painfull, there is meaning in all things.
I am sorry for your loss.

movo,

I'm so sorry about your friends Cancer. It sounds even, as she may know- it might be worse for her-but, she is fighting for all she has. She has a great friend in you, and will always have that special connection, especially because of your beautiful little boy.

Jeremy is right, one door closes as another opens. Life begins as one ends. Say what you must now, she'll understand. I hope for some miricle for you all.

Inica
