Sorry no-one has replied. I don't know that I can be of help, but it is possible that if you dressed the area with honey [good organic, preferably manuka, honey] that healing will be promoted.

Your worst problem seems to be the one of scratching. It is presumably difficult to tell if that is habit or because the lesion is irritating. I really don't know the best way of dealing with that. It may be you will find a more helpful answer on forums for dementia and its treatments.

Thank you for your reply I haven't tried honey I have tried vinegar & water, and also vitamin c. The lab said it wasn't cancer, but it's not healing. I know that she picks at it, and i can't watch her 24/7. I will try the honey thank you.

Happy New Year!

bethbo, I am sorry about your aunt's healing problem. I did not reply because I do not know anything about basal cell carcinomas. I also have no ideas on how to promote healing for the wound on your aunt's head. Have you talked with her doctor about this problem?

You and your aunt are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have talk to the dr. he said keep using neosporin, well that didn't cut it so i started using other stuff like vinegar & water, and also vitamin c, not getting very good results. I want to try the honey that was mentioned, I am looking for it online. I wanted to know if there was a good place to purchase it.

Thank you for answering, I take care of her 24/7, and on top of her dementia, parkinsons disease, and severe restless legs, she has this sore that won't heal. And she has been fighting UTI's for months. Always something.

Happy New Year
