Thank you for so much info provided in this forum.

Has read this forum silently after my dad is diagnose with liver cancer and before he passed away.

Many links to many share experience and alternative medicine. Very useful.

My dad passed away peacefully without much pain on 30th July 2007 morning at the age (just one month) before his 69 birthday.

He is diagnosed with HBV already destruct most of his liver and 2 small cancer in the liver around Oct 06. Entecavir was given to control the HBV. Not suitable for operation, Biopsy is used to remove the 2 growth in Nov/Dec 06. A checkup 1 month after reviews that more small growth surfaces. Oral Chemo (2 months of Rapamycin, another 2 months of Rapamycin + Thalidomide and finally about 1 month of Rapamycin + Avastin). AFP rises throughout the months and finally he gets weaker and got a fever and stay in the hospital for 2 weeks until the fever is under control. 2 weeks he was well (although weak) at home before he start to partially lost his motor skills. Doctor advice to keep him in the hospital, another 2 weeks, hospice is the last option. He stays shortly 3 weeks in the hospice. In between he also take Tradition Chinese Herbs + some alternative medicine read from links of this forum.

Although he and our family went through the rough patches, I am glad that we listen to the doctor's advice and celebrate his birthday about more than 1 month in advance during the first week in the hospice. Has never seen his so happy during the pass few months.

The last few days (3rd week in hospice) he got a fever and went into "sleeping" condition (doctor call it coma), but during the few days, he did try to response with a bit of movement in his hands and legs and also making some noise (trying to talk). The last day, his blood pressure just drops and finally passed away peacefully.

Looking back during the last months it was so hard for us to accept the fact that the end is coming, and has came and now 4 weeks plus has already gone.

He has really done a lot (beyond words) for the family, he is the best daddy.

I love you dad, please rest in peace.
