Over the past weeks, I've noticed some differences in myself that have made me uneasy.

We'll start with the good news...I GOT MY KEYBOARD!!! I love writing music and got a keyboard as an early christmas present from a dear friend of mine. Very Happy

Ok..now the weirdness. My glioma is according to doctors (probably slow growing). Well, I figured that to be pretty good news, but in the past two weeks, I've had a few problems that aren't normal for me.

When I went to play my keyboard, I noticed that I couldn't play very well with my left hand like I use to. I would attribute it to no practice, but my right hand is just fine. I've also started dropping things out of my left hand alot. I've also noticed that I've had trouble swallowing from time to time..it's as if my throat forgets how to swallow, and sometimes whatever I try to eat or drink just comes out my nose. I've also noticed that I'll get the feeling that I'm falling..then everything will turn white and then I get nausiated.

I'm deciding whether it's the flu or whether to call my neurologist next week..blagh. Anyone else ever have any experiences like this? If so, what happened? I guess i'm a little worried..that's all. Embarassed

Noid, I am glad that the doctor thinks it is slow growing. I do understand that fact does not keep you from worrying about it. It is good that you stay "in tune" Wink with your own body. Your symptoms will help you catch it if it does start to grow faster. Has your medical team talked to you about any long-term treatment options? What are they suggesting to you if it starts to grow faster?

Your symptoms sound a lot like inner ear problems although I cannot rule out brain cancer. You should go to see your doctor for a proper examination.

Merry Christmas

Merry christmas to you too brainman. I never thought of my inner ear..i may have that checked first before i call my neurologist...I'm gonna wait till after christmas to call...of course, that's what i've been doing for a couple weeks now. I wouldn't have even considered the inner ear. Thanks.
