Good Morning Everyone,
I just wanted to say that my dad was admitted back to the hospital on Tuesday with problems breathing again. Yesterday, his oxygen level dropped from 93 to 58. He has some heart damage from the fibrosis. At this time no one has said how much time he has left. My mom is going to talk to the doctor today and see if we can get a hospital bed to the house and bring my dad home. Obviously being in the hospital is not helping so we would much rather him be at home resting comfortably.

Mel,

Thanks for the update and I'm sorry that the situation is requiring a hospital stay. We also encountered oxygen level issues and heart problems while my husband was fighting, so my heart goes out to you.

I hope you can get him home where he can feel more comfortable.

Mel, I am very sorry about your father. My father had many health problems but died of leukemia. For a while, he too had a hospital bed at home. I just wish we had it sooner; he was so much more comfortable in it than in his own bed.

Is your father still eating well and taking in fluids? Nutrition is so important for someone in his condition.

You and your father are in my thoughts and prayers.
