I left a message some time ago about my mum Margaret who was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforma on the 4th June 2007 and sadly on the 3rd December 2007 she died.

We only buried her yesterday but eveything is still quite hard to believe. I can't believe she is gone. I am so glad she was here for my Wedding in August this year and for my 30th Birthday in September this year.

I hate this illness, it is very cruel and very hard on those left behind. My dad is lost and I don't know how to help him than only being there for him.

Amanda, my heart goes out to you Sad. I am so sorry about your mother's death. I could not agree with you more... GBM is very cruel. My mother died due to a GBM over 9 years ago... only 2 months after her diagnosis. It is still hard to believe she is not here. I can still hear her laughing in the kitchen!! How can she not be here? Crying or Very sad.

The best thing you can do for your father is to be with him and listen to him. It is too soon for this but at some time, he will want or need your help with your mother's possessions. That time can be a very hard time on a spouse since it will bring back so many memories. But right now he just needs to know that he is not alone in his pain.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this painful time.

Dear Amanda
I am very sorry to hear about your Mum passing away. Please accept my condolences & I will keep you in my prayers & thoughts during this difficult time.
I remember reading your post & that you would be caring for your Mum. This must be such a sad time for you all & only the passing of time can heal this pain.
I hope you have close family & friends that will help you through these difficult days.
Thinking of you.
Aussie Angie.

so sad to hear. I'm so sorry for you and your family. I hope something comes along to help you and your family through the holidays. Sad

I lost my mum a few years back, and dealing with loss is tough, and takes time..but over time, things really do seem better.
