I have recently been told that my tumor is pressing against my pineal gland, and is causing me problems..especially with sleeping. My tumor is in the middle of my brain..so i was wondering, is there any type of brain surgery out there where the neurosurgeon can enter the brain through the nose? That may sound silly, but I really am trying to find out. It may be my only hope. My tumors location is inoperable according to my neurologist. I just want to know if there are doctors out there that do these surgeries, because if so, I would like to see one of them for a second opinion.

Hi Noid
I'm sorry I can't help you with any advice re the surgery through your nose, but I would strongly recommend a 2nd opinion. I'm sure this would give you some clarity on treatment choices.
They told my Bro his was inoperable because it was on his brainstem (deep down in his head), but they've done 2 resections this year so far.
Are you presenting with any/many symptoms yet from pressure on your brain?
Keep positive, I'll keep you in my prayers.
Definitely seek a 2nd opinion though, this would be very wise.
Cheers, Angie.

THank you for the kind reply. My head feels like there is pressure on my right side all the time..and sometimes my hearing and vision looks blurry, on that side and not the opposite oddly enough Sad

I heard it should be on the opposite side. I don't sleep much anymore on my own, and my xanax dosent' seem to help me sleep anymore. The second opinion is sounding like a good idea. I feel like i need to do something pretty soon.

thanks again for the reply Smile
