I have a like a thin tube-like lump on my temple and what appears to be a very small bump above my temple. I feel a pressure on the left side of my head all day that doesn't hurt necessarily but is definitely bothersome and worrying me.

I went to my doctor but I feel like he is just too old to be a doctor anymore. He felt my temple and had no idea what I was talking about for like 5 minutes, said he'd get a skin sample and completely forgot about that and ended up not doing it, took blood but I don't even know what that would accomplish.

Should I be worried about this? Has anyone ever had these symptoms? I've been looking all over online. I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow and get another MRI and have him do a biopsy. My old roommate and friend now has stage 3 brain cancer and I don't want to take my chances.

Please, any advice is welcome.

forwantof, I am very sorry about your health concerns. If you do not trust this doctor, then seek a second opinion for a doctor that you do trust.

Having said that, if you can feel it, it is not a brain cancer. It still could be one of many head and neck cancers or even a lymphoma, but not brain cancer. The skull bones are just too thick for you to see or feel a brain cancer.

Keep working with either this or another medical team to try to diagnose this problem.
