I am a radiologist starting to read PET/CT scans. I have been looking for some information, possibly in table form, on the sites of metastases of various cancers. This information is available for the various tumors, but only if you look them up one by one, a very tedious task for the 200 or so types of cancer. Is there such a table available, possibly in an oncology text? Thanks

Hi drphred,

I am sorry but you have come to the wrong place to ask that question. We only have to MD who might have the answer to your question. The rest of us are either patients, family members or friends of patients who are just trying to cope with our own cancers. I doubt very seriously if any of us knows of such a textbook. However, I have been known to be wrong before.

Best wishes.

That's scary thinking that radiologists use a textbook to learn how to read a PET.

That did cross my mind, Nancy but I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he might be an Intern or something like that getting his first crack at a PET scan.

I also asked myself why he did not just go to a fellow oncologist and ask? You only have to check a few of our posts to know that probably none of us would have the information he is asking for Laughing

Anyhow, he is probably bogguss. Razz
