I would like to know your opinion about "off label" use of Celebrex in recurrent prostate cancer after radiotherapy.
Ref. Asco Abstract No: 4593/2004.

Hello

There is really a lot being researched on the role of COX-2 inhibitors. I can tell you that the results show some promise, but we can not make assumptions based on a phase II trial. What we need is a phase III, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial that compares patients taking COX-2 versus patients taking placebo. So at this point in time this can not be regarded as standard of care therapy.

regards,
Leo
