My dad is still hanging in there. He's looking weaker everyday. Hospice has started to visit him, something he fought tooth and nail against. They have helped him with the pain, but he is fighting insomnia.

I can't believe it's been only 3 months and he really isn't getting better. Deep down inside I guess I was hoping for a misdiagnosis...I think all of us are thinking that. I try to spend every extra moment I can with my dad.
There is a wonderful song I heard last night watching a Disney movie with my little girl--and the chorus really touched me, it really fits:

"Our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain."

I take any small hours I can get with my wonderful, unique father.

Peace & love to all

Cisco's Daughter, what beautiful lyrics! It is so true... these "small hours" are all that we have and they go by so fast. I hope you are making the most of them with your father and daughter.

Good to hear from you Smile

Cisco's Daughter,

It's good to hear from you- I know you've been busy. I have been following you, and your dad's story. Those lyrics are special, and so true.

Take Care-

Dear Cisco's daughter
So sorry to hear of your Dad's current condition.
You & your Dad & family are in my thoughts & prayers.
The words to that song (Disney movie) are so beautiful, & so true.
Be strong & God bless you.
Cheers, Aussie Angie.
